Invited Lecture by Dr. C. Ravikumar, IIT Dharwad at the Department of Chemical Engineering, SRM University, Chennai

Dr. C. Ravikumar, Department of Chemical Engineering, IIT Dharwad, delivered an invited talk at the Department of Chemical Engineering, SRM University, Chennai on 23 January 2026, titled “Shape-Controlled Nanoparticles for Enhanced Drug Delivery in Cancer Therapy.” The lecture was attended by around 80 undergraduate students from the third and fourth years, and received an overwhelming response.

During the talk, Dr. Ravikumar discussed the critical role of nanoparticle shape engineering in improving drug loading efficiency, cellular uptake, and targeted delivery in cancer treatment. He highlighted how shape-controlled nanomaterials can enhance therapeutic efficacy while minimizing systemic toxicity, offering promising solutions for next-generation cancer therapeutics. 

The interactive lecture stimulated active participation and insightful discussions, reflecting strong student interest in nanotechnology-driven healthcare innovations. The talk served as an excellent platform to expose undergraduate students to cutting-edge interdisciplinary research at the interface of chemical engineering, nanoscience, and biomedical engineering.
