News 1: From the 2024-25 Academic Session, the B. Tech program in Electrical Engineering has been replaced by two B. Tech programs in Electronics and Communications Engineering (ECE) and Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE).
News 2: From the 2024-25 Academic Session, Branch change option is dropped. Students taking admission to ECE WILL NOT have the option to change to any other branch.
In recognition of the ever-expanding field of electrical engineering, we have streamlined our BTech program to focus on two distinct specializations: Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) and Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE). This change allows us to provide a more focused curriculum that aligns with the latest advancements in both areas, while still offering a strong foundation in core electrical engineering principles. Prospective students interested in pursuing a BTech degree in electrical engineering can now choose between the ECE and EEE tracks. The ECE program will delve deeper into areas like communication systems, signal processing, circuit design etc.. The EEE program will emphasize on power electronics, power systems, control engineering, machine drives etc.
The core courses, i.e. courses in the first two years, will be common for both EEE and ECE. The semester wise course outline can be downloaded here (BTech in Electronics and Communication Engineering.pdf).
