CPLD MAX3000A BOARD Ver 2.0 – Nibble

Designed and developed in-house by Mr. Manjunath S Koparde, Junior Technical Superintendent, at the Electronics Lab, IIT dhArwAD

The complex programmable logic design (CPLD) board, named Nibble, is designed and fabricated in the electronics laboratory. It is widely used by undergraduate students in digital system design labs. Students write their code in Verilog, which is then programmed onto the board to implement the intended logic. Compact in size, similar to an Arduino UNO, the Nibble board is portable and easy to carry. Over fifty boards have been fabricated and are actively used by students. Key features include its ability to draw power directly from the CPU, eliminating the need for an external power supply. Additionally, it is programmed using a JTAG cable, making it user-friendly and easy to operate. Yet another innovation exemplifying self-reliance.
